Adnaan Noor
Adnaan is the Founder and Managing Director of Ashmere Law Asia LLC. His practice is centred on advising clients through high-stakes matters involving risk, crisis, and liability, reflecting the firm’s distinctive focus in these areas.
Before establishing Ashmere Law Asia, Adnaan practised under the mentorship of a leading Senior Counsel and subsequently as a core part of a Tier 1 restructuring and insolvency practice. He has developed a strong reputation for advising on complex commercial and corporate disputes, major cross-border restructurings and insolvencies, and event-driven situations of corporate distress. He is also widely recognised for his expertise in Indonesia-related matters.
Adnaan regularly appears as lead counsel in litigation and arbitration, acting in matters of considerable scale and significance. His experience includes two of the longest trials in Singapore, one exceeding 70 days and another over 80 days. He also advises and acts for insolvency practitioners across both contentious and non-contentious engagements.
Beyond his practice, Adnaan is committed to public service through his volunteer work with Pro Bono SG, where he represents migrant workers in criminal defence matters and supports legal clinics. He is currently serving as the Co-Vice Chairperson of the Migrant Worker Legal Assistance Committee.

Lead counsel in a HKIAC arbitration acting for an Indonesian commodities company in a claim brought by a European trading company.
Lead counsel before the Singapore Court of Appeal for a Mexican attorney to vary an injunction restraining insolvency proceedings in Mexico.
Lead counsel before the General Division of the High Court to defend against unfair preference, fraud, and conspiracy claims commenced by liquidators.
Lead counsel for the Liquidators of Fund Singapore (SOPA) Ltd., a special purposes vehicle used for investments into a NASDAQ listed company.
Lead counsel for the Liquidators of Seabird Exploration Asia Pacific Pte Ltd, a company that provided services incidental to oil and gas extraction.
Acted for the Liquidators of Hodlnaut Pte Ltd, one of Singapore’s leading crypto assets borrowing and lending platforms.
Acted for DBS Bank in 70-day interpleader proceedings arising out of the bankruptcy of Hin Leong Trading, where he cross-examined multiple witnesses.
Acted for the Architects in an 87-day trial defend against allegations of negligence, fraud, and conspiracy, where he cross-examined multiple witnesses.
Acted for eFishery Pte Ltd and its Indonesian subsidiaries in various investigations and liability management matters arising out of whistle-blower allegations.
Acted for an Indonesian real estate conglomerate in the proposed refinancing of its bonds via an exchange offer and pre-packed scheme of arrangement.
Acted for a financial institution in Indonesia in a special situations matter to carve out and spin-off its NPL related operations and services.
